Dr. Robert. N. Corley III serves as Interim Dean and 1890 Extension Administrator for the College of Agriculture, Vice-Provost for Academic and Student Affairs, COVID-19 Response Director, and Project Director for the Wallace Foundation’s national University Principal Preparation Initiative at Virginia State University. He previously served the university as Associate Vice-Provost for Graduate Programs, Interim Dean for the College of Education, Interim Dean for the College of Agriculture, and Chair of the department of Agriculture and Human Ecology. Throughout his academic career, he has leveraged authentic engagement, talent management, high standards, a shared vision, and facilitated PLCs (professional learning communities) to create inclusive excellence. He holds the Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees respectively in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Tuskegee University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in Animal Sciences with a specialization in Nutrition and Biological/Mathematical Modeling. Before attaining an administrative role, he was awarded one US patent, authored over 42 various publications, attended multiple leadership development programs and served as PI or Co-PI securing over 9.2 million across a plethora of capacity building areas including Animal/Human Health and Nutrition, Leadership Development and Academic Innovation.
